Interior painting in Tampa Bay

The cheapest way to make a whole house feel new. Two coats, walls and ceilings, minor patching and trim touch-up included — priced by floor area, which is how painters actually quote, so the number you see is the number that makes sense.

What it costs

Three common sizes, all at mid-range finishes — the same basis as the number above. Your own number depends on size, material and access — the estimator asks about all three and takes about a minute.

A few rooms

$2,500 – $3,500

Around 500 sq ft of floor area.

Most of the house

$6,000 – $8,500

Around 1,200 sq ft — the common repaint.

Whole house

$10,500 – $16,000

Around 2,200 sq ft, every room.

These are planning ranges built from current Tampa Bay material and labor costs — the same figures we price real jobs on. They are not a quote. Your firm, itemized price follows photos and measurements.

Two things worth knowing before you repaint here

Popcorn ceilings are everywhere in Tampa Bay housing stock from the 70s and 80s, and they can be painted — but if you want it removed rather than painted, and the house predates about 1980, it should be tested for asbestos before anyone scrapes anything. That's not us being cautious for the sake of it; it's a genuinely different job with different rules, and we won't scrape an untested ceiling.

Florida humidity changes how paint behaves. A room that's been closed up and running warm holds moisture in the drywall, and paint applied over it can flash or peel months later. It's why we don't paint a room the same day the AC has been off, and why a garage or lanai repaint gets a different product than a bedroom.

Questions

Is it priced per room or per square foot?

By floor area of the space being painted — that's how painters quote, because wall and ceiling area track floor area closely. It also means our number is directly comparable to other quotes you get.

Are ceilings included?

Yes, walls and ceilings, two coats. If you only want walls, say so and it comes down.

Do you patch drywall damage?

Minor patching and caulking is included. Real drywall repair — holes, water damage, cracked seams — is priced separately once we see it.

Do you paint cabinets?

Cabinet painting isn't in this number. It's a different process with different prep and it's quoted on its own.

Do I need to move out?

No. We work room by room and move furniture to the middle. Most people stay in the house the whole time.
